For the celebration of its 25 years, Centro Cultural de Belém partnered with three Portuguese authors for the creation of an exclusive and limited edition collection, marking its 25 years of cultural and artistic activity and promoting the creative vitality of Portuguese authors. Fernanda Fragateiro, Ricardo Bak Gordon and Ricardo Preto accepted the challenge to develop three original pieces: a silk scarf, a sketchbook and a tote bag. All the pieces were carefully selected and produced in Portugal, under the supervision of the authors.

The Ricardo do Espírito Santo Silva Foundation was created in 1953 as a Museum-School with the aim of protecting and disseminating Portuguese Decorative Arts and the handicrafts related to them. Today, besides the Museum of Portuguese Decorative Arts, the Foundation has 18 Portuguese traditional arts and crafts workshops that keep alive a very significant intangible heritage of savoir-faire and ensure a specialized intervention in the Portuguese heritage through the conservation and restoration laboratory. It also has two schools where the Arts are taught: the Escola Superior de Artes Decorativas (ESAD) and the Instituto de Artes e Ofícios (IAO), giving continuity to the transfer of knowledge, where teaching of the arts is a priority and a mission.

About Wonder Room

Three days, nineteen brands, five designers and one artist. This is how WONDER ROOM in MULTIPLEX is going to look like.The top pop-up store of MODALISBOA moves one-step forward, integrating on its commercial area, five young designers from WORKSTATION platform, who will show their collections on Thursday, October 11th: António Castro, Cristina Real, Filipe Augusto, João Oliveira and Tiago Loureiro.

They will be joined by 19 accessories, fashion and lifestyle brands that from Friday, October 12th, onwards will showcase and sell their works at WONDER ROOM, demonstrating MODALISBOA MULTIPLEX’s will to create a mosaic where all areas of artistic intervention that are transversal to patrimony, industry and the fashion trade.

Some of WONDER ROOM reference brands are going to welcome debuting brands, sharing this way a platform that was raised to all and from many to the whole.
