UNITED FASHION LISBOA

Designer and Industry European Program

15 European Fashion Designers. Happenings, workshops, an international showroom, and networking. Knowledge, sharing, exchange, growth. From March 4 to 6th, UNITED FASHION LISBOA was the voice of the future.

Integrated in Lisboa Fashion Week, UNITED FASHION LISBOA brought to Lisbon 15 European fashion designers for a program that focuses on Production and that spoke about the materialization of the future. Committed on bringing this group of young talents closer to the know-how and luxury specialization of the Portuguese textile industry, UNITED FASHION LISBOA was the home of masterclasses and training actions that focus on innovation, new business models, technology, sustainability and ethics at all stages of the process. The search for new solutions is constant and is also the fuel that feed the fashion system.

The creation of an environment of proximity between these fashion designers and the Portuguese industry is crucial for a collaborative future. But it is also crucial for the future to continue to bring to Lisbon closer to the world, and UNITED FASHION LISBOA, with its showroom, was the meeting point between international fashion designers, buyers and press, as well as a melting pot of new opportunities. All this culminated in a presentation open to the public, open to the city, so that the sharing of voices, visions and experiences can achieve its purest purpose.

About United Fashion Project

In 2017, a group of seven European Fashion organizations came together to create a project that defended, promoted and developed independent Fashion in Europe. In an unprecedented action and co-funded by the Creative Europe program of the European Union, UNITED FASHION was born. MAD - Home of Creators (BE), Baltic Fashion Federation (LV), Fashion Council Germany (DE), Fashion Weekend Skopje (MK), Flanders DC (BE), Maisons de Mode Lille-Roubaix (FR), and Associação ModaLisboa (PT) pledged to boost the industry, establish connections, build bridges and eliminate borders.

The main goal of this project is to promote entrepreneurial creativity and innovation to enhance business opportunities for European Fashion Designers.

To achieve the aim of this project, over 4 years (2018-2021), several activities take place in each of the cooperating countries within the framework of United Fashion. More than 150 European designers and brands have the opportunity to present themselves, get acquainted with other countries’ market opportunities, participate in workshops and discussions and establish useful contacts with press, industry professionals and local consumers.
