About Sangue Novo

One heritage, many lives. This is how MODALISBOA MULTIPLEX expresses its will and versatility, like one house that has many living rooms, and the many living rooms communicating among each other for a cause only, the global and inclusive Fashion cause, that seeks to break with the prejudice and to create new interdisciplinary production and communication networks.

MULTIPLEX will reflect the organic, multipurpose and aggregating way fashion develops itself among people and the industry. It will live from new talents and new tendencies, from new tribes and new tributes, from the notion of patrimony common to all and that inspires all to new creations and languages.

There is new blood in MODALISBOA MULTIPLEX and in the SANGUE NOVO– Young Designers Competition. The rules have changed, the contest will have two participation phases, and the concept is newer and wider.

In the first phase of SANGUE NOVO happening in MULTIPLEX, the jury board Miguel Flor, Alfredo Oróbio and Claúdia Barros selected ten designers to present their collections on the October 12th, 2018.

Five international creatives will compete side by side with national designers. Archie Dickens and For All Kind by Saskia Lenaerts from UK, Federico Protto from Italy, Pu Tianqu from China and Victor Huarte from Spain. Portugal is going to be represented by the designers Carolina Raquel, Rita Carvalho, Vítor Antunes, Opiar from Artur Dias and The Co.Re from Inês Coelho and Rachel Regent.
