Andreia Reimão, Ari Paiva, Arndes, Fora de Jogo e Rafael Ferreira. The first designers to participate in an entirely digital Sangue Novo contest. In October 2020, ten designers revealed their collections in video and, in March 2021 at the last stage of the competition, the five selected finalists challenged, once again, the ways in which we think, created, show and communicate Fashion.
Love letters to an utopian world, the profoundly human fragility, the degradation of the environment through our hands, the appropriation of objects for the construction of social identities, and the constant and eternal struggle between the constriction of emotions and the sharing with others. These were the themes described in fabric, the conversations brought to the table by the five designers evaluated by the Sangue Novo jury: Miguel Flor (presidente of the jury, creative of Fashion and art, editor-in-chief of Prinçipal magazine and winner of the Sangue Novo contest in 1996), Rosário de Mello e Castro (journalist and previous editor in titles such as Vogue Portugal and Visão and current editor-in-chief of Máxima), Ricardo Andrez (Fashion designer with several international presences, integrates the official ModaLisboa calendar since 2010), Adriano Batista (editor-in-chief of Fucking Young!), Massimiliano Giornetti (Director of Polimoda) and Ricardo Silva (CEO of Tintex Textiles).
Arndes, Fora de Jogo and Rafael Ferreira were the three winners of Sangue Novo.
