Lights dim. A voice announces that the show is starting. The noise in the room becomes a whisperer. The music hides what is left from the voices. At the end of the catwalk a beam of light appears. The show has begun.
At MODALISBOA AWAKE the ritual restarts. 39 designers will present their collections for fall/winter 2020/21. Whether in the Paços do Concelho or in the Oficinas Gerais de Fardamento e Equipamento do Exército, either in classic runway shows or in fashion happenings that make us rethink the way fashion fits in our imaginary.
ModaLisboa is the home of Portuguese fashion design, the platform where new ways of thinking bloom, the incubator where the future begins. And it is, increasingly, the home of international talent: the United Fashion Lisbon happenings will show us the visions of 15 European fashion designers, and Ninamounah, from the Netherlands, is the guest that occupies the main catwalk on the last day. Altogether, it will be four days of Fashion without borders, of a free Fashion, of a greater Fashion. There is a world in AWAKE.
MODALISBOA AWAKE. The future is in our hands.
