-  Sangue Novo,  ModaLisboa Comunidade

Andreia Reimão, Ari Paiva, Arndes, Fora de Jogo and Rafael Ferreira. The first designers to participate in an entirely digital Sangue Novo contest.

In October 2020, ten designers revealed their collections in video (available for review here) and, in April 2021 at the last stage of the competition, the five selected finalists will once again challenge the ways in which we think, created, show and communicate Fashion. On all platforms of Lisboa Fashion Week (ModaLisboa.pt, ModaLisboa app for iOS and Android, and ModaLisboa TV app, for MEO clients), the livestream of the five collections will be the window to our future.

Love letters to an utopian world, the profoundly human fragility, the degradation of the environment through our hands, the appropriation of objects for the construction of social identities, and the constant and eternal struggle between the constriction of emotions and the sharing with others. These are the themes described in fabric, the conversations brought to the table by the five designers, who, during the last few months, have taken part in digital mentoring meetings with the Sangue Novo jury. The members of the jury are already known: Miguel Flor (presidente of the jury, creative of Fashion and art, editor-in-chief of Prinçipal magazine and winner of the Sangue Novo contest in 1996), Rosário de Mello e Castro (journalist and previous editor in titles such as Vogue Portugal and Visão and current editor-in-chief of Máxima), and Ricardo Andrez (Fashion designer with several international presences, integrates the official ModaLisboa calendar since 2010). They will be joined by Adriano Batista (editor-in-chief of Fucking Young!), Massimiliano Giornetti (Director of Polimoda) and Ricardo Silva (CEO of Tintex Textiles).

Immediately after the presentation of the five collections, the winners of ModaLisboa Tintex and ModaLisboa Polimoda awards will be announced, but it won’t end there. In order to also integrate the #COMUNIDADE in this competition, and materializing the brand’s strategy of commitment and support to young talents, MOCHE will, once again, support Sangue Novo with the ModaLisboa MOCHE award, which returns for another season and will be attributed to the most voted designer on the ModaLisboa app. ModaLisboa will announce the opening date of the voting on all of its social networks (Instagram, Facebook and Twitter).

MODALISBOA COMUNIDADE. Together, we will carry on.
