Until May 1, the Dutch Fashion Festival, FashionClash, is receiving applications for the 3rd edition of the Fashion Makes Sense Award (FMSA), a supportive award for a new generation of fashion designers with innovative and disruptive ideas that can contribute to a development of a more sustainable fashion industry.
FashionClash will selects 10 designers/labels out of all entries. Each finalist will exhibit 1 outfit at Cube Design Museum, in Kerkrade, from 28th of September 2019 until 20th of January 2020, and 1 outfit during FashionClash Festival, in Maastricht, in November 2019.
The winners of the two FMSA awards will be announced during the FashionClash Festival. The designer / label awarded by the jury will receive € 2.500 to develop a sustainable collection. The designer / label most voted by the public will receive € 1.000.
The Fashion Makes Sense Award is an initiative of FASHIONCLASH in collaboration with the Province of Limburg, and its aim is to offer a new generation of designers, with innovative ideas, a stage and to encourage designers to think about their responsibility in contributing to a better world. In addition, the project aims to create awareness about sustainable fashion among a broad audience.
