For all you who are flying to London Fashion Week, from 16th to 21st of September, there is a mandatory local: KOPPEL 540 gallery, in the heart of Soho, will be the home of Local Goes Global Pop-Up Store, featuring two ModaLisboa Designers: Pilar do Rio and RafaeloFerreira.
The two young designers who participated in the last edition of the Sangue Novo competition will be alongside more than 20 Portuguese designers and fashion and craft brands.
The Local Goes Global project, promoted by ANJE - National Association of Young Entrepreneurs, aims to promote the vision and know-how of Portuguese handicrafts, designers and brands, in order to position the national market as a leader in sustainable fashion.
The pop-up store, open from 10 am to 6 pm, will be divided into three areas: Brands, Crafts and Designers. The Brands section will include sustainable Portuguese brands of high jewelery, fashion, interior design and beauty. The Crafts section will take the tradition of Portuguese manufacturing to London. In the Designers section, Pilar do Rio and RafaeloFerreira (powered by ModaLisboa) and Marcelo Almiscarado and Unflower (powered by Portugal Fashion) will represent the creativity of Portuguese fashion. In parallel, Portuguese artists from several arts will also be invited to exhibit their work at the gallery.
After London, the Local Goes Global itinerary — started in Paris in June 2021 — will reach Milan, Moscow and Qatar.
