Fast Talks, Designer Talks, Workshops, Story Sessions. We kept the core: conversations with specialists, designers, industry players, with all of those who make this sector and who continue to have a lot to teach us, to share, to instill change. And, on top of that, we innovated. The schedule of ModaLisboa COMUNIDADE’s Fast Talks, entirely digital, received Workshops aimed at professionals, students and enthusiasts, and also the Story Sessions, in which several change makers opened a window to the future, making a state of the art of innovation.

#FASTTALK&BEYOND

They are actors and accelerators of change who, through their projects, encourage changes in the patterns of consumption, the education we provide to the next generations of creative people in the industry and the innovation that thrives on the most advanced technology. More than a conversation about hope, this was a conversation that inspires through concrete actions that improve tomorrow.

#WORKSHOP1
AESTHETICS INTELLIGENCE STRATEGY AND SUSTAINABILITY
by WRP Internacional

To create a work methodology that acts as a strategy for building a bridge between creators and industry. To create collections and the best lifestyle merchandising for each brand. To start working on sustainability by understanding niche markets, and not by developing irrelevant products and services, without clarity, recognizing that age, gender, price and trends are no longer the best analysis tool. These were the central points of this workshop, built to rethink the term and business of fashion.

#WORKSHOP2
THE COMMERCIAL FLOW FROM MERCHANDISING TO DISTRIBUTION
by Sustainable Brand Platform

The launch of a collection always involves a merchandising study relating to a series of points such as the breadth and depth of the offer, the presence of entry prices and carry over, style coherence and the right target price. The price list must highlight differences and emphasize specialties. Any co-branding, capsule or limited edition can further support the promotion of the main collection and its communication. The commercial strategy once defined must be implemented considering the different features of the markets (online/offline and different geographical areas): definition of potential sales markets, market prospecting to identify potential buyers, creation and management of the distribution network and coordination with communication and PR activities.

The CRM constitutes the basic tool in order to define the correct commercial activity related to the right target. Sustainability plays an essential and increasingly important role. The SUSTAINABLE BRAND PLATFORM project represents an example for the construction of a community of brands that share the same values in a collaborative and ethical perspective. All of these topics were discussed in this workshop that providea clear and straightforward guidelines to new brands.

Thus, responsibility is an increasingly structural issue: we’ve gathered testimonies about the crisis of textile waste left in sight in Ghana, the promotion of mental health in working with artists, working with communities of artisans in Brazil, the production of textiles sustainability and corporate and consumer responsibility.
