João Viana studied Graphic Design with a specialization in multimedia at the artistic school Soares do Reis, in Porto, in order to better explore his communication and express his ideas and thoughts in a more organized and objective way. He worked for a year in a goldsmith's atelier where he put into practice his taste for handicrafts. In 2021, he graduated in fashion design at Modatex Porto, and started his brand, Veehana, where he currently works.
The Veehana's collection is intended to be a reflection on the transformation of the human being. It lives in a limbo between the past, the memories and the discoveries as a child and the paradigm shift of adult life. The collection seeks to envision a distorted cross between the visions of a child and an adult who are in constant confrontation and who cohabit the same body.
This persistence in the definition of identity, even at an early age, makes an attempt at exploration and discovery in all senses. In this attempt at assertion and self-knowledge, gender differences, impulses and fantasies emerge with undoubted sensitivity and creativity.
