SQUATbyCABANAMAD

MODALISBOA OASIS and CABANAmad present SQUATbyCABANAmad, an artistic intervention curated by Antonio Lettieri that flows between Visual Arts, Design and Performance, at Lisboa Social Mitra, from 6 to 9 October 2022.

It will be a pavilion transformed into a temporary gallery, impregnating the concept of “squat” at Lisboa Fashion Week: disruptive, experimental, a place of communion and transformation that dictates artistic and independent cultural production. SQUATbyCABANAmad will be a space for debate between emerging practices and multidisciplinary experiences in the artistic field, open to the public because it is for the public and by the public.

The gallery will also host a performance, MIRAGE, by Marianne and David J. Amado, which will premiere on October 6th.

When an industry mobilizes across for technological innovation as a response to the climate emergency, the result can seem like a chapter in a dystopian novel. But APICCAPS’ brave new world is very much a reality. And it's not the future: it's the present.

In an exhibition focused on five areas of action in the footwear and components industry when it comes to raw materials — Biodegradable, Biomaterials, Leather, Nature and Recycled Plastic — Portuguese Shoes shows the public at MODALISBOA OASIS that the only way forward is sustainability sustained by strategic thinking and planning. While there is still much to explore, to innovate, to experiment, to solve, APICCAPS companies join Lisboa Fashion Week on this journey.

MODAPORTUGAL Life Cycles by CENIT / ANIVEC

The Installation MODAPORTUGAL represents a holographic immersion of a factory, bearing in mind the concepts of transparency and circularity as models of industrial production and the respective life cycles of materials, contexts and processes. In it, some of the manufacturing methods are replicated, ranging from the more craft model - with reference to the recovery of garments -, through the regeneration of waste, to the more technological side of the industry, using 3D and virtual images.

The promotional MODAPORTUGAL campaign aims to highlight the values of industrial circularity in the fashion ecosystem, eliminating waste and pollution, enabling the reuse of products and materials at their best level and changing the focus from extraction to regeneration.
