YOU STILL THERE?
We are currently living in atypical times where our day to day life has compelled us to close ourselves off and this new environment is only enforcing a loss of uniqueness.
The visual identity of each and every one of us has been stripped away by this new reality. Expressing ourselves physically and emotionally was normal to us and is now almost impossible.
This collection came to life materialising exactly that. Each piece has the sole purpose of removing individuality and physiognomy by deconstruction and deformation. While clothes are usually made to accentuate certain body parts, this collection focuses on distorting them.
Influenced by the deconstructed performance The Cut Piece by Yoko Ono (1964), the physical distortion of Rei Kawakubo in The Body Meets Body (1997) and the chromatic inspiration of Dieter Jung's Holograms, this collection truly came to life.
