From an early age, Carolina Machado's (Leiria, 1994) taste for fashion, art and design defines her academic career. Carolina starts her training in Visual Arts in 2009 and in 2012 she moves to Oporto to study Fashion Design at ESAD, in Matosinhos, graduating in June 2015.
In October of 2015, she presents her collection at the Sangue Novo platform of ModaLisboa and In 2016 she launches her own womenswear brand, where she currently works. In October 2017, she integrates the LAB platform of ModaLisboa.
In between each collection, there is always a thread of continuity, evolution, and reinvention. Re-using deadstock from past collections and natural fibers, such as cotton and linen, Carolina Machado presents a summer uniform that incorporates the brand's DNA: sober, contemporary, elegant, and timeless, which intends to be a wardrobe for any and all occasions. In this Spring/Summer collection, Carolina seeks an eternal place in the shade, in a palette of sand tones with small pops of color, such as fuchsia and orange, female silhouettes contrasted by male tailoring, ruffles, and ribs.
